In addition, a European Directive - issued October 2015 - requires that all school children are taught CPR and AED use.

 Available courses provided by Andy Sherriff do not include training in these devices, as they are not likely to be carried by the usual mountaineer or watersports leaders, and there are issues with using them in adverse weather conditions.
